Surprisingly, this was the only “Thanksgiving” themed song that I could find in my music collection. I was first introduced to Dessau through the great cover of Joy Division’s “Isolation” and from there I started digging into their back catalog. This song is from the “Mad Hog” EP. It came out on in 1988 on the Carlyle Records label out of Nashville (the only other Carlyle Records band I can think of off the top of my head was The Grinning Plowmen who were also from Nashville). Apparently John Elliott, the mastermind behind Dessau, ended up producing contemporary Christian music.
